Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced an update to the National Alert System on smart devices, effective from Monday, March 30, 2026.
Under the new system, mobile alerts will be integrated with sirens activated across the country, while different alert tones will be used depending on the time of day.
According to the update:
Between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am, alerts will be delivered using a standard message tone.
Between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm, alerts will be issued with a louder alarm tone.
The ministry said the changes are part of ongoing efforts to improve the effectiveness of the alert system while also considering residents’ comfort during nighttime hours.
The updated system aims to ensure that emergency notifications remain clear and noticeable when needed, without causing unnecessary disturbance during rest periods.
