Kuwait City: Kuwait’s General Directorate for Drug Control has dismantled a secret Captagon manufacturing operation in the Kabd area and arrested two individuals residing illegally in the country.
According to the Ministry of Interior, investigators monitored the suspects’ activities before raiding a farm that had been converted into a covert production site for psychotropic substances. The suspects reportedly attempted to resist arrest and escape during the operation, but security personnel successfully took them into custody.
During the raid, officers seized approximately five kilograms of raw Captagon powder, a tablet-pressing machine, precision scales and various tools used for packaging and distributing narcotic pills. Authorities also recovered empty bags and other materials linked to the manufacturing process.
Initial investigations led the suspects to confess to hiding a larger quantity of ready-to-distribute pills buried underground. Security teams subsequently recovered around 100,000 Captagon tablets with an estimated street value exceeding KD 500,000.
The two suspects, along with all seized materials and equipment, have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action as investigations continue.
