Fire at Kuwait Scrap Yard Brought Under Control After Hours-Long Operation

Kuwait City: Firefighters in Kuwait successfully brought a blaze at a scrap yard in the Al-Naeem area under control after several hours of intensive firefighting operations.

Authorities confirmed that no deaths or injuries were reported in the incident. Following reports of the fire, multiple firefighting units from nearby fire stations were dispatched to the scene and launched extensive efforts to contain the blaze.

Fire crews focused on preventing the flames from spreading to metal waste materials and other stored items within the scrap yard, while also ensuring that nearby facilities and surrounding areas remained protected.

Officials said the rapid response helped stop the fire from extending beyond the site. After the blaze was fully contained, firefighters began cooling operations to eliminate any remaining hotspots and prevent reignition.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Relevant authorities have launched an investigation, and technical inspections are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
