Kuwait Municipality Intensifies Crackdown on State Land Encroachments

Kuwait City: Kuwait Municipality has granted a two-week grace period for individuals and entities that have illegally occupied or built structures on government-owned land to remove the violations voluntarily.

The municipality said it is moving ahead with stricter measures to protect public property and curb unauthorized use of state land. Owners of illegal constructions and encroachments have been instructed to clear the violations within the specified period.

Authorities warned that if the violations are not removed within two weeks, the municipality will take direct action to demolish and remove the illegal structures. All costs associated with the removal process will be recovered from the violators.

The municipality added that inspection campaigns are being intensified across the country to identify and address unauthorized use of government land. Officials stressed that strict legal measures will be taken against those found violating municipal regulations.

Residents have also been encouraged to report suspected encroachments or illegal activities through the municipality’s hotline services and official social media channels as part of efforts to safeguard public assets and ensure compliance with the law.
