Al Ain: The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a weather alert for the Al Ain region, warning residents of rainfall, strong winds and reduced visibility through Thursday.
According to the forecast, convective cloud activity is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall, with showers becoming heavy at times during daytime hours on June 24 and 25. The unstable weather conditions may lead to localized flooding and difficult travel conditions in some areas.
The NCM also warned of active to strong downburst winds associated with thunderclouds. These winds could raise dust and sand, resulting in sudden drops in visibility and creating hazardous conditions for motorists.
Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, follow traffic safety instructions and adhere to speed limits. Residents are also advised to avoid valleys and low-lying areas that may be affected by runoff from heavy rainfall.
The weather authority said it will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary, urging the public to stay informed through official channels.
