Kuwait City: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned what it described as repeated Iranian attacks on its territory, calling them a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security and international law.
In an official statement, the ministry said the latest attack represented a serious escalation that endangered civilians as well as vital infrastructure. It stressed that Kuwait rejects any action that threatens its territorial integrity or national security.
Kuwait affirmed that it reserves the full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, defend its territory and protect vital facilities in accordance with international law and the UN Charter. Officials also urged the international community to take responsibility for preventing further escalation in the region.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following renewed exchanges between the United States and Iran, including recent attacks involving US military facilities in the Gulf. Kuwait has reiterated that preserving regional peace and stability requires respect for international law and good-neighbourly relations.
