Kuwait Minister Reviews Progress on Roads to New Airport

Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Dr Noura Al-Mashaan conducted an inspection tour on Monday to review the progress of road projects leading to the country’s new airport and assess construction work on the ground.

During the visit, the minister stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project. She also urged contractors to accelerate construction and complete the road network according to the approved schedule.

Dr Al-Mashaan said the upgraded roads are expected to strengthen Kuwait’s transport infrastructure, improve traffic flow and provide easier access to the new airport, supporting the country’s long-term development plans.

The inspection covered several major roads, intersections, bridges and tunnels within the project area. The minister received updates from project officials and supervising engineers on the current stage of construction and the timetable for completing the remaining works.

The Ministry of Public Works said the project forms part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to modernise its road network and improve connectivity to key infrastructure projects.
