Kuwait City: Vehicle owners in Kuwait can now download and store the digital version of their vehicle registration licence (Daftar) directly through the Sahel app, following the launch of a new service by the Ministry of Interior.
The initiative is part of Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to expand digital government services and simplify public procedures. With the new feature, motorists can access and display their vehicle registration licence on their mobile phones whenever required, reducing the need to carry a physical copy.
To use the service, users need to log in to the Sahel app, select Traffic Services under the Ministry of Interior section, and download the digital vehicle registration licence for secure storage on their device.
The Ministry of Interior said the new service is another step toward fully digitising government services. It follows the introduction of several other digital services on the Sahel platform, including driving licences, vehicle permits and ownership-related services.
Officials said the digital licence will make it easier for vehicle owners to manage important documents while reducing the need for visits to government offices. The move also supports Kuwait’s broader strategy to modernise public services through digital transformation.
