Four Indian passport, visa and consular service centres in the UAE will stop operations from October 22, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has announced. Services will continue at 12 Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) operated by Al Hind Tours & Travels, following the closures for administrative reasons.
The four centres that will close are located in Musaffah and Al Reem in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Investment Park I, and Al Majaz in Sharjah. Applicants who previously used these locations will need to visit one of the remaining centres for passport, visa, attestation and other consular services.
The 12 operational centres serve applicants in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Kalba and Khor Fakkan. Al Dhafra has centres in Madinat Zayed and Ghayathi. The centres will operate daily from 8 am to 6 pm. Applicants are advised to book appointments in advance and may enter a centre only 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment.
The embassy has also confirmed that walk-in applications will be accepted for Tatkaal passport services, newborn cases, Emergency Certificates and senior citizens aged 60 and above. These applications will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should check the official consular services portal for appointment availability and the latest instructions before visiting a centre.
