Rains In Western Indonesia Leave Two Dead, 2700 Homes Flooded

Medan : As per reports, torrential rains in Indonesia's third largest city caused four rivers to overflow, flooding thousands of homes and killing at least two people. The Disaster mitigation agency said that rescuers were searching for six missing people after the heavy rains in Medan. Two deaths were also reported. According to the reports, more than 2700 houses were flooded in the city, forcing authorities to cut off electricity and water supply. The rescue team took 181 people to temporary shelters after floodwaters reach as high as 5 meters in several places.
