RAMADAN IS NEARING :KUWAIT FACE MAIDS CRISIS

Kuwait City : The Kuwaiti Federation of Domestic Labour Recruitment Agencies has warned of falling into a crisis as Ramadan is nearing. According to reports,a crisis of the shortage of domestic workers in the labour market has arised.Citing the inability to provide workers at reasonable prices in light of closing the door on other domestic labour exporting countries and continue dealing with one or two countries,Kuwait faces Labour crisis


There were heated arguments among the kuwaiti and the Philippine sides two days back during the meeting for the discussion of the labour problem, about adding a new condition in addition in the agreement between the two countries.
According to the reports the Philippines demanded imposing a condition on recruitment agencies requiring them to pay a financial guarantee of $10,000 that can be used of when a dispute occurs between the sponsor and the worker.It clearly shows that the arrival of the workers will be delayed much after the holy month of Ramadan which falls in April.Those addressed  the meeting indicated their absolute rejection of this condition. There are many false allegations made by some workers against Kuwait trying to defame Kuwait in front of human rights organisations.
