Ajman: The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has awarded the winners of the ‘Tourism Innovator Award 2025’ in a ceremony led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi.
The award recognises creative student projects that integrate technology, creativity, and sustainability to support Ajman’s goal of becoming a leading global tourist destination. This initiative is part of ADTD’s mission to promote innovation and research among young people and inspire them to develop practical solutions aligned with the UAE’s national vision.
HE Alhashmi highlighted the Department’s focus on nurturing young talent and driving forward-thinking strategies in tourism. He stressed that youth are at the heart of building a sustainable, knowledge-based future and that the ADTD will continue supporting entrepreneurial ideas that deliver positive social and economic impact.
This year’s winners presented unique concepts ranging from AI-driven travel planning and smart tourism apps to gamified experiences and digital event management platforms. Projects like ‘Tourism of Dreams’, ‘Mehwar’, ‘TriPlay’, ‘SmartAI-Tour’ and ‘Smart Tourism Event Organiser’ were recognised for their innovation, feasibility, and contribution to raising service standards.
Through competitions like this and collaborations with universities, Ajman Tourism aims to build a culture of research, innovation and creativity, reinforcing its status as an attractive and future-ready tourism hub.
