WOMEN RELEASED AFTER 9 YEARS IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Security forces have released a woman who had been detained at her home in Kuwait for nine years, local media reported. The news about this came as a shock to everyone. Three sisters and two brothers held her sister hostage in a room in the house for nine years because she refused to return to her husband, who was 15 years older than her.


The public prosecution has ordered the detention of the victim's sisters and brothers for the crime of holding them hostage for nine years with the intention of harassing the young woman. The turning point was that the woman agreed to a situation where she had to talk to her friend on the phone. According to the information provided by them, the friend had contacted the police. The security team then released the woman from custody.
