KUWAIT HAS THE LOWEST COST OF LIVING IN GULF

Kuwait City: Kuwait has the lowest cost of living in the Gulf. Kuwait has been ranked as the lowest cost city in the Gulf by the Nampio Index, one of the largest database of 563 cities in the world.


Nampio prepares the list halfway through each year. The list is based on the price of groceries in 139 countries and the cost of transportation and meals in restaurants. This includes things like rent, will not be considered.

Kuwait ranks 11th in the Arab world and third globally. Lebanon is the most expensive country in the world. It is followed by Qatar, UAE and Bahrain. Dubai is the most expensive Gulf city. Doha and Abu Dhabi followed. Syria is the least expensive Arab country. It is followed by Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. Bermuda is the most expensive country in the world globally. It is followed by Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Barbados.
