DEFENDANT ARRESTED FOR KILLING INDIAN DELIVERY DRIVER IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti police have arrested a suspect in the murder of an Indian man in Kuwait this morning. The deceased was identified as Josy Basha Sheikh, 41, a delivery worker at X7 Mobile Company in Kuwait. Basha Sheikh, a home delivery service worker, was found dead this morning in the house of a Kuwaiti national in Abu Fatira. The body was found with serious head injuries.


Security officials rushed to the scene after receiving information about the murder. The body of a 41-year-old Indian man was found lying inside his house with signs of the attack. After a strong search, criminal investigators were able to apprehend the killer, who tried to escape from the detectives but was subdued and transferred to the investigation office, where the motive for the murder was revealed. Basha Sheikh, a delivery driver for a mobile phone company, arrived at the home of a Kuwaiti citizen in the Abu Fatir area to deliver an electric scooter worth 150 dinars, but the native refused to pay for the scooter and the ensuing walkout resulted in his murder.

Defendant told criminal investigators that the driver who refused to go back was hit in the head with an iron rod and that he did not intend to kill the driver. Security sources said that the accused was convicted of drug and assault cases and his information was sent to all ports and security centers to prevent him from escaping the country and he went into hiding immediately after committing the crime.
