5000 PASSENGERS PER DAY, INCREASE IN TICKET PRICES

Kuwait City: Although the ministry has decided to launch direct flights to more countries, the requirement of 5,000 passengers per day is stalled. The cabinet also decided to launch direct flights to 14 countries.


Airport sources said the decision could not be implemented without affecting daily services to Turkey, Geneva, Dubai and Doha. If the new cabinet decision is to be implemented, the operational capacity of the airport must be increased.

The cancellation of tickets and the number of returnees have led to an increase in air fares. This is also an obstacle for Kuwaitis stranded abroad to enter the country. Thousands of people from India and Egypt want to come to Kuwait. With this, the price of a transit ticket has gone up to 350-600 dinars.
