Kuwait City: More than 2,000 teachers are returning to the country as expatriates are allowed to enter the country as per the conditions. Many teachers were given the opportunity to return after being stranded outside Kuwait for a year and a half due to restrictions imposed by the covid crisis.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education had provided the Home Ministry with details of teachers stranded abroad, including those whose residency permits had expired. This was in order to issue entry visas to those whose residency permit had expired.

The Ministry of Education had set up a special system to register teachers trapped abroad. As of mid-July alone, more than 1,620 teachers had registered on the website.
