NOON WORK BAN, VIOLATIONS IN KUWAIT DROPPED THIS YEAR

Kuwait City: The work ban imposed at noon due to extreme heat has been observed to be well observed this time. The ban on working during the day was imposed in June, July and August.


It is estimated that the number of violations this year was very low due to awareness among employers, contractors and workers. Yesterday, the Manpower Authority's National Center for Occupational Health and Safety work team inspected the Al Masail area at noon.

Five companies have been issued notices for hiring 13 workers at noon. Ahmed Dhashti, head of the manpower authority's work team, said more inspections would be carried out and workers' health should be protected.
