Kuwait City: The Indian Handloom Week celebrations organized by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait came to an end. The event was held at Al Sadoo House, Kuwait's Museum of Traditional Weaving. Indian Ambassador Sibi George and Alsadu Society Vice Chairperson Masira Alansi were also present on the occasion.

Ambassador Shri Sibi George said that a number of similar events would be organized in Kuwait to promote the import and promotion of Indian products. As part of the Handloom Week celebrations, an exhibition of Indian handloom products has been organized in leading supermarkets in Kuwait.

The Embassy of India last week organized the Handloom Week celebrations to promote economic ties with Kuwait and to promote the handloom industry in India, which showcases the richness and diversity of Indian culture.

The embassy has also launched a social media campaign to get all Indian citizens to wear their handkerchiefs and upload their photos on social media under the hashtag #MyHandloomMyPride, #IndianHandloomWeekinKuwait.
