MOBILE NUMBERS IN KUWAIT TO CHANGE, CITRA WITH NEW UPDATES

Kuwait City: The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (Citra) said it has allowed virtual mobile network operators to use mobile numbers beginning with four. With this, mobile providers in Kuwait like Sign, STC and Orido will be able to use the numbers 41000000 - 43999999. The new range will use 30 lakh numbers. Each telecom company in Kuwait will receive one million numbers, officials said.


Earlier, the numbers starting with 9 were used by the sign network, the number starting with 6 was used by Orido and the number starting with 5 was used by STC. This is due to the implementation of Mobile Number Portability (MNP), which allows users to switch networks without changing numbers. It takes 3 days for individual porting applications to transfer service providers from one mobile network and 5 days for switching to another circle.
