KUWAIT APPROVES DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM INDIA

Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti government has approved direct flights from India after several days of uncertainty. The decision was taken at a crucial cabinet meeting and the new decision will take effect from next Sunday, officials said.


With this, thousands of expatriates stranded in countries including India will be able to return to Kuwait. With the new decision, travelers from India, Egypt, Bangladesh and Nepal will be able to enter Kuwait directly. Meanwhile, the cabinet has decided to increase the number of passengers landing at the Kuwait airport. The decision has been taken to increase the number of passengers arriving daily from 7,500 to 15,000. The quota will be based on requests from airlines, officials said.
