Kuwait City: Ambassador Sibi George says Aadhaar is a milestone in Indian digital history. He was speaking at a function on "Cyber ​​Security" at the Kuwait Technical College Auditorium in collaboration with the Indian Embassy Kuwait Technical College and the Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Engineers of India. The ambassador said that all sectors of the world such as jobs, education, governance, entertainment and leisure are being digitized and the cyber world is a part of life. Work and study shifted to our home environment at a time when the world of corona was challenging ahead.


We continued to hold business meetings and community interactions without having to deal directly with video conferencing technology. Sibi George said Covid's time has helped bring people around the world closer to the cyber world and adapt them to the digital transformation. Major government projects such as BharatNet, Make in India, Startup India and Standup India have greatly helped to digitize India.

Aadhaar, the world's largest biometric ID system that includes all the information of the people, is said to be a milestone in the digital history of India, including the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), the Electronic Customer Identification System (e-KYC), the Electronic Document Storage System (electronic locking system) and the Digilocker system. The ambassador said that it was a crucial step towards the digital sector.

He hoped that the seminar would play an important role in enhancing cooperation between Kuwait and India in the field of cyber security. Misery Budai, Chairman, Kuwait Technical College Board of Trustees, Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Engineers of India and technical experts attended the seminar.
