DIRECT ENTRY INTO KUWAIT FOR 760 INDIANS PER WEEK AND 2,500 EGYPTIANS DAILY

Kuwait City: Cabinet meeting decided to increase the capacity of Kuwait Airport to 10,000, as well as the number of passengers from countries with direct entry restrictions. Initially, only 760 Indians a week will enter Kuwait. Of this, 380 passengers will be allowed to travel on Kuwait Airlines and 380 passengers on Indian Airlines.


According to local newspapers, an official notification has been sent to India and Kuwaiti aviation authorities are awaiting approval from the Indian authorities to schedule and launch flights between the two countries.

The number of passengers from Egypt increased to 2,500 per day, allowing 1,250 passengers per day, equivalent to Kuwait Airlines and Egyptian Airlines. The DGCA said it would soon contact civil aviation authorities in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal to determine the number of passengers scheduled to travel to Kuwait.
