ACCORDING TO A STUDY, 43 PER CENT OF KUWAITI THINK IT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPORT CORRUPTION

Kuwait City: A study by the Kuwait Transparent Authority found that 43 percent of people in Kuwait think it is not their responsibility to report corruption. But the report points out that 75 per cent of respondents say that reporting corruption will benefit the country's progress.


At the same time, the study found that 38 per cent of people were of the opinion that corruption should be reported by others. The report also found that 58 percent feared personal harm if they reported corruption. Therefore, the study finds that the general tendency to report corruption to the authorities is declining.
