Kuwait City: Mansoor al-Hashimi, director of civil aviation operations, said he was studying how to allow more than 10,000 passengers a day at the airport. He said the current health situation was being assessed and the matter was being discussed with the cabinet.

In the last few days, the airport has been operating at a capacity of 10,000 passengers. The airport's capacity was boosted by the launch of flights from six banned countries. Eight flights arrived from Egypt and five from India yesterday. He said the work was being carried out in compliance with all the directives of the Ministry of Health and the Cabinet.

Expatriates hope that with the increase in the capacity of the airport, ticket prices will come down. The DGCA has also issued special instructions to those coming to the country.
