Kuwait's traffic authorities have reported a staggering 61,553 traffic violations in the last quarter of 2024 alone. These violations were primarily for two reasons: failure to wear seatbelts and using mobile phones while driving. Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Subhan, Director of Coordination and Follow-up at the Ministry of Interior's Traffic Sector, shared these statistics during a lecture at the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). The lecture was part of the 38th Gulf Traffic Week, which aims to promote safe driving habits under the slogan "Driving Without a Phone."
