IN THREE HOURS, 1,940 TRAFFIC OFFENDERS WERE CAUGHT IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City:  1,940 traffic offenders were caught in three hours during a search conducted by the traffic department in various governorates. The administration conducted the inspection yesterday evening on the special instructions of Major General Jamal Al Sayein, Under Secretary of the Traffic Sector. The test was turned into seven teams. A mobile team was also formed to find the abandoned vehicles.


Col. Mishal Maribed al-Suwaiji, director of technical inspections, said inspections in Jalib al-Shuwaikh, Hawalli, Khaitan and Jahra found 1940 violations. In addition to replacing old and abandoned vehicles at abandoned stations on the road, the authorities also focused on locating used vehicles in unsafe conditions. Authorities said several unsafe vehicles were found during the inspection.
