WORK VISAS WILL BE ISSUED FROM 'ASHAL' APP FROM TODAY IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Work permits will be issued from today through the Ashal app linked to the Ministry of Health. Manpower Authority's Ashal App also has a facility to upload vaccination certificates online. Earlier, the cabinet had decided to start issuing new visas and work permits. According to the Kuwaiti media, the system for issuing new visas and work permits will be announced today.


The Cabinet has directed the Manpower Authority to coordinate with the Ministries of Health and Home Affairs. Vaccination certificates should ensure that they are not forged. At the same time, the Manpower Authority has made it clear that employers who wish to bring workers into government contracts must attach airline tickets along with contract forms and housing allowance indicating working hours, work permit duration, job status and academic qualifications. 

The Authority has come up with a mechanism to link all jobs with its academic degrees. The system includes 28 services for residents, including the transfer of work permits and self-sponsorship.
