  • 11/11/2021

Kuwait City: Historical monuments  directly reflect the ancient history of Kuwait. Historical monuments and antiquities are part of the cultures of nations. Those monuments are also the memories of many who fought to protect the country.

The National Council for Culture, the Arts and Letters is responsible for the preservation of such historical monuments and antiquities and for the preservation of heritage. However, the local newspaper reports that none of these are currently protected.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, the father of the constitution that created modern Kuwait, is said to have attached great value to Kuwait's history and to have been ordered by the emir to preserve antiquities and historical monuments.
