KUWAIT HAS THE LARGEST GDP DEFICIT IN THE GULF

Kuwait City: Kuwait have the largest GDP deficit in the Gulf by 68.7 percent of the non-oil general budget balance by 2021, according to the International Monetary Fund. This is the highest percentage in the Gulf. Kuwait's government debt to GDP this year is about 36.6 percent. At the same time, the Gulf average is 43 percent. 


This is according to a government study comparing the economies of Kuwait and other Gulf countries. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates that Saudi Arabia will have the lowest GDP growth rate of 34.3 percent in 2021. At the same time, Bahrain has the highest debt-to-GDP ratio of 130.6 percent, according to the report.
