DURING LOCKDOWN, KUWAITI MINISTRY OF FINANCE RECEIVED A FINE OF 600,000 DINARS

Kuwait City: As the country faces a full and partial lockdown, the government has received 600,000 dinars in various fines, according to the Ministry of Finance. In the last six years alone, traffic fines amounted to 380.39 million Kuwaiti dinars. The figures are for the financial year 2015/16 and the financial year 2020/2021. 


The highest number of fines was imposed in 2015-16. It received 69.47 million dinars that year. The lowest fine was 66.05 million dinars in 2016/17, the following year. It received 60.03 million Kuwaiti dinars that year. In 2018/19, he received 62.16 million dinars. At the same time, it is surprising to estimate that in the year 2020/21, which closed down government institutions due to lockdown, 61.6 million dinars was to be collected.
