SHARP RISE IN PRICES OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The sharp rise in prices of essential commodities in the country is a cause for concern. The cost of living in Kuwait is more than affordable. Price has doubled since Covid for essentials such as food, vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, medicine, clothing and school supplies. 


There has been a lot of reaction, including on social media, to the rise in prices. Complainants on social media say that the situation of this serious crisis is being exploited by the traders and there is no intervention of the concerned authority. When consumers blame traders and businesses, they talk about things, including the cost of completing procedures in all exporting countries. Traders also point out that things including rent have gone up.
