AT 1779 DINARS PER MONTH, THE OIL PENSIONER IS KUWAIT'S TOP PENSIONER

Kuwait City: Government workers receive half of the 232 million dinars in monthly retirement pensions paid to 241 thousand male and female citizens, with the balance going to workers in the oil, civil sector, defence, interior, National Guard, and self-employed workers.


The results demonstrate that, while having the largest part of the value of pensions, government retirees have the second lowest average pension in Kuwait, whereas oil employees have the highest average pension.

According to the data, 62 percent of those who receive pensions, both civilian and military, numbering around 150 thousand citizens, receive 191.29 million dinars per month on average, with an average pension of 1273 dinars, with 134.64 million dinars spent on 89.6 thousand citizens, with an average pension of 1503 dinars per month. Pensions for 60.6 thousand female citizens total 56.64 million dinars, with an average pension of 934 dinars.
