182.4 THOUSAND PASSENGERS PASSED THROUGH KUWAIT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DURING NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS

Kuwait City: According to official figures released by the General Administration of Civil Aviation, the total number of passengers passing through Kuwait Airport to spend the New Year holidays amounted to 182.4 thousand passengers from December 24 to December 31, last year, including approximately 100,000 passengers leaving the country and 82,000 passengers returning to Kuwait.


 Travellers through Kuwait Airport over the specified period target 34 countries, as they were transported on 1,670 flights for 40 air operators, including 837 aircraft that arrived in Kuwait and 833 flights that departed to other countries. 

In particular, six countries accounted for the majority of passenger traffic through Kuwait Airport during the New Year's holiday travel season, with approximately 128.67 thousand male and female passengers travelling to and from them, accounting for 71 percent of total passengers travelling through Kuwait Airport from December 24 to December 31, last, while a list of the most popular destinations for travel during the season is as follows:

India topped the list of the top travel destinations, with a total of 34.34 thousand male and female passengers travelling on 292 flights for 6 air operators, while 18.97 thousand passengers left Kuwait via 143 flights, and 15.36 thousand passengers arrived via 149 flights.
