1,500 EXPATS WERE DEPORTED IN KUWAIT FOR ILLEGALLY OWNING AND USING NARCOTICS

Kuwait City: According to a security source, approximately 1,500 of the 18,221 expats deported by the Ministry of Interior were deported owing to their possession and/or usage of narcotic substances, trafficking, and possession of intoxicating substances.


Those arrested with minor amounts of drugs are deported immediately and their names are placed to the list of people barred from entering the nation, however those caught with substantial amounts of drugs or shown to have trafficked in narcotics are sent to the courts. According to the Ministry of Interior, 11,177 men and 7,044 women were expelled from in 2021.
