Kuwait City: The Kuwait University Council has agreed to halt Kuwaitization for the next four years in order to meet the university's academic criteria and the number of students accepted during the current academic year. During the university council's last meeting on December 29, the institution's Human Resources Department delivered a memorandum to the council. It contained topics previously accepted by the university council, such as non-compliance with the Civil Service Council's Resolution No. 11/2017 addressing employment preparation and particular rates for Kuwaitization. Kuwaitization of jobs at the university should be done in a way that is consistent with the nature of work and the needs of work centres, and that strikes a balance between Kuwaitization and the retention of cadres and accumulated technical and administrative experiences that contribute to raising the level of university education.
