VACCINATION FOR AGE GROUP 5-11 YEARS BEGINS IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: This week, the Ministry of Health will begin vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11. There are around 400,000 children in this category, which comprises Kuwaitis and expats. They will receive two doses of Pfizer vaccine, administered at 21-day intervals, in accordance with WHO standards.


Parents have been urged to register their children for vaccination because it has been proved that immunisation is effective against the COVID-19 pandemic. The dose is not provided according to the child's weight but rather according to their age.

• 5 years – 61,563
• 6 years – 63,221)
• 7 years – 61,225
• 8 years – 61,736
• 9 years – 60,748
• 10 years – 60,424
• 11 years – 58,234
