AMIRI PREPARES LIST OF PRISONERS TO BE PARDONED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Amiri Pardon Committee has announced that a list of prisoners to be pardoned by the Amiri Amnesty this year . It is reported that 350 prisoners are on the list. About 100 prisoners, including citizens, illegal immigrants and expatriates, will be released soon. The other 250 will be split to reduce the sentence and impose fines.


Selected names will be submitted to the Public Prosecution for approval by the Attorney General. The list will then be submitted to the Amiri Diwan. The names of those who will be released will be announced on the 25th of this month. Amnesty expatriates will be handed over to the deportation department. Released citizens and illegal occupants will not be allowed to travel until the end of their detention.
