GENERAL ORGANIZATION FOR SOCIAL INSURANCE WITHDREW SEVEN BILLION DINARS LAST YEAR

Kuwait City: The General Organization for Social Insurance withdrew about 7 billion dinars from its investment last year, sources said. The organization has completely withdrawn its deposits in some banks. There are currently no balances other than its current accounts. Sources said that short-term deposits are still maintained in banks with about 500 million dinars.


Withdrawals include all banks that maintain a savings balance. At different rates, up to 100 million dinars were withdrawn from some local banks. 50 million dinars were withdrawn from some banks. The withdrawals are in line with the institution's five - year plan. It was around four per cent at the end of last March, sources said.
