GOAT PRICES SOAR IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Goat prices are on the rise in the country. Shortage of fodder has also contributed to the rise in prices. The sheep, which cost 60 dinars, were sold for 80 dinars yesterday.

Local sheep Shafali and Al-Nuaimi breeds are in great demand. The plan is to import sheep in anticipation of the increase in demand in the sheep market during Ramadan. However, locals are of the view that the prices of local sheep are not likely to go down. If this situation continues, there are indications from the market that the demanders will have to pay a higher price for the sheep this time.
