DECISION TO GRANT CONCESSIONS FOR TRAVEL, RESERVATIONS SOARED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Air ticket bookings have increased by 88 per cent following the cabinet's decision to ease Covid restrictions and travel, according to the Department of Travel and Tourism. Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. With the decision to extend the national holidays, there has been a huge increase in demand for flights from Kuwait International Airport.


According to the International Air Transport Association, the total number of tickets sold in the last few days is around 222,000. This is a significant increase over the same period last year. Ticket sales in January were valued at about 17.5 million dinars, according to the Department of Travel and Tourism.
