Kuwait City: The number of people receiving the booster dose vaccine has risen sharply in the country. Eighty-five percent of the country's population is vaccinated with two doses. The increase in vaccine rates has led to a reduction in congestion in the intensive care unit and in the covid wards of the hospital, officials said.

Health sources said that children between the ages of 5 and 11 who are chronically ill and immunocompromised will continue to be vaccinated according to the appointment schedule. More than 300 children between the ages of 5 and 11 were vaccinated Wednesday morning, and  about 3,000 people arrived at the vaccination center yesterday alone for a booster dose, officials said.

Children also need advance booking. Once the vaccination is registered, the schedule message will be sent as a text message to the parents' phone number. Meanwhile , health sources said that health precautions, including wearing a mask, should not be continued in closed or open spaces , public transport, churches and commercial malls.
