BID TO FIND BOGUS RECRUITMENT OFFICES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Philippine Embassy has updated the list of offices and agencies authorised to recruit Filipino employees in Kuwait, including professionals and domestic workers. The list covers 174 of the 420 offices and agencies that have got licences to operate in the field of recruitment. Furthermore, the embassy released a circular warning against interacting with unaccredited individuals or offices that hire Filipino workers. 


Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) acknowledged that it is working with the Ministry of Interior to track down fraudulent recruitment bureaus that advertise specialised jobs providing home services for the elderly and children. According to sources, workers employed through bogus recruitment agencies have either violated the Residency Law or been implicated in absconding instances.

According to sources, Ethiopia aims to establish an agreement with Kuwait for the recruitment of domestic employees. According to sources, the official announcement of the agreement's signing is expected later this month. According to sources, the agreement specifies the monthly salary of workers as well as the outcomes of their training in recognised Ethiopian facilities prior to entering Kuwait.
