EXPATRIATES WHO COMMIT SERIOUS TRAFFIC OFFENSES IN KUWAIT WILL BE DEPORTED

Kuwait City: Maj. Gen. Jamal al-Sayeig, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, has said he will take "strict legal action" against anyone who commits a serious traffic offense. Citizens and juveniles who drive without a driver's license will be referred to court. If the perpetrators are violators, they will be deported. 


Al-Sayyid said the measures would be taken without discrimination between men and women. He made the remarks in a press release issued yesterday in connection with a security campaign conducted by the Traffic and Operations Division in the Mahboula area of ​​the Ahmadi Governorate. To facilitate traffic in front of shopping centers in all governorates, the General Traffic Department is currently working in collaboration and coordination with security authorities to implement the plan ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
