LAST YEAR, 75,000 DOMESTIC WORKERS FLED KUWAIT : INDIANS ARE AHEAD

Kuwait City: An estimated 75,000 domestic workers left Kuwait last year. The figures were released by the Central Administration of Statistics. At the end of 2020, there were 668,600 domestic workers in Kuwait. In 2021, it has dropped to 593,640. 


Fifty-six percent of domestic workers who leave Kuwait are women. 42,360 women lost their jobs. 32,600 are males. The highest number of domestic workers with Indian citizenship left Kuwait. By 2020, the number of Indians will be 319,300. Last year, it dropped to 279,590. The latter are from the Philippines and Bangladesh.
