THE KUWAITI FIRE BRIGADE HANDLED 3,974 REPORTS IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF LAST YEAR

Kuwait City: The fire brigade handled 3,974 reports in the third quarter of last year, according to Lt. Col. Ali Sadiq, head of the Ardia Fire Brigade Center. Of these, 1230 were fire incidents. Eighteen firefighters were injured. Of these, 63 died and 224 were injured. He added that the new General Fire Force Act allows judicial control for firefighters in the defense sector. 


This led to a significant reduction in the number of serious violations encountered by firefighters when dealing with accidents. At the same time, he said, the number of fires in homes and residential buildings has increased during the month of Ramadan. The number of road accidents has also increased. The dangers increase mainly half an hour before the opening of the fast and half an hour before the start of the fast.
