KUWAIT WILL HOST THE THIRD GULF SPORTS GAMES FROM MAY 13 TO MAY 31

Kuwait City: The third Gulf Sports Games will be held in Kuwait from May 13 to 31, according to the Supreme Organizing Committee. About 1,700 players are taking part in the Games. The symbol of this Games is the model of a fox (Al Hosni Salmi) inspired by the environment. Fatima Hayat, a member of the Kuwait Olympic Committee's Board of Directors and chair of the committee's women's sports committee, told the media after the press conference that wildlife in the deserts of Kuwait and the Arabian Peninsula are known for their tough resistance to the desert and their resilience to living in this environment.


The committee will hold its inaugural function on May 22 at the 360 ​​Complex. The inaugural ceremony will take place days after the start of the Games in the presence of the heads of the Gulf Olympic Committees, Asian federations and sports personalities. In addition to handball, volleyball, basketball, football, swimming, athletics, karate, judo, fencing, archery, tennis, cycling, ice hockey and table tennis, there are also electronic sports. This is the first time that women are competing in various categories.
