MPs WANT A 'SESSION' TO VOTE ON PIFFS REFORM

Kuwait City: Marzouq Al-Ghanim, National Assembly Speaker and Honorary Chairman of the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union (APSU), has received the Falcon Medal from the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union (APSU). This is APSU's highest distinction, and it is being bestowed for the first time since the union's inception in 1993. Another event is that ten MPs — Osama Al-Menawer, Badr Al-Humaidi, Fayez Al-Jomhour, Saad Al-Khanfour, Ahmed Mutei Al-Azmi, Homoud Mebrek Al-Azmi, Mehalhal Al-Mudhaf, Saleh Zeib Al-Mutairi, Hamad Al-Matar, and Nasser Al- The amendment provides for a KD3,000 incentive and a KD20 annual pension boost for retirees. The MPs pointed out that the proposal is important for retirees; hence, it is considered an urgent matter included in the tasks of the caretaker government. 


Meanwhile, Al-Ghanim presided over the meeting of the National Assembly Office on Thursday with members of the office, Assembly Secretary Farz Al-Daihani, Chairman of the parliamentary Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee MP Obaid Al-Wasmi, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee MP Ahmed Al- Hamad, Chairman of the Parliamentary Priorities Committee MP Osama Al-Menawer and Secretary General of the Assembly Adel Al-Lughani in attendance. The office tasked Al-Ghanim to coordinate with the caretaker government in order to hold special parliamentary sessions
