BID ON CONVERTING UNUSED LEAVE DAYS INTO CASH - EMPLOYEES RUSH TO REGISTER

Kuwait City: A huge number of Health Ministry employees have signed up to convert their unused leave days into cash via the internet. According to sources, the ministry has created a new procedure for encashment of unused leave days in order to avoid crowding and ensure that staff do not leave their jobs.


According to sources, leave encashment requests are submitted online by entering the civil identification number and the number of encashment days. The amount of unused leave days is verified in collaboration with the audit authorities, according to sources. According to sources, over 15,000 employees have already submitted their leave encashment applications, either online or through their direct supervisors, with the deadline set for June 30.
