Kuwait City: According to an informed source, the municipality will soon begin issuing penalties against the padel stadiums that have sprung up all throughout the country as the concerned authority prepares to demolish all illegal padel stadiums.

According to a reliable source, the Municipality teams in charge of removing violations in all governorates have limited these stadiums in accordance with the Supreme Planning Committee's recommendation, noting that the first stage will begin with issuing warnings to violators, preparing reports, and then dismantling the unlicensed stadiums established in public interest associations, after which all stadiums will be removed, while others will be built in residential areas.

The source indicated that the Supreme Committee for Planning, in its meeting held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Municipality Dr Rana Al-Faris on June 5, issued a recommendation to assign the director of the office of the Minister of Municipality to follow up the list of padel stadiums and instruct the deputy director-general for the affairs of the governorates’ municipalities to direct the governorate managers to make an inventory of all the stadiums and submit a detailed report to the committee, including a list of the unlicensed stadiums, their locations and their compatibility with the regulation organizing and allocating playgrounds that have been prepared by the municipality. He said that the committee recommended that all necessary legal measures be taken urgently
